When launched, the second-generation Chevrolet Chevelle featured a new design language, and remains one of the most vivid examples of the era’s “coke bottle” style trend. The coupe adopted a flowing fast-back body style, with timeless lines that serve it well today. The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS featured here today has undergone a full frame-off restoration and the results speak for themselves. It’s a full roller, with a 496ci engine under the hood, with custom suspension, paint and wheels. This Chevelle resto-mod is a great example of a classic American muscle car reimagined while staying true to the original.
The standout feature on the 1968 Chevelle SS is the custom paintwork. Having undergone a full frame-off restoration, this Chevrolet sports a custom blue-on-blue flame paintjob. The attention to detail extends under the hood, with chromed parts, a cleared firewall and a shaved engine bay making way for a visually appealing set-up that wouldn’t look out of place at a car show. This Chevy sits on coil over suspension for improved handling. It also sports custom wheels, which clear enormous 6-piston disc brakes from big-brake-kit specialists Wilwood.
Under the hood of this second-generation Chevelle is Chevrolets 496ci V8 engine that has been upgraded to run Edlebrock fuel injection. Improving reliability is a one-belt serpentine belt system replacing the original V-belt. Other upgrades include oil catch cans, an electric water pump, and an AL7 ignition. Power is delivered through an automatic gearbox, with this Chevy utilizing a 9” rear end.
Chevy’s Chevelle was made for three generations from 1964 through 1977. Yet, you’d swear that the Chevelle lived longer. That’s how strong the brand recognition with this nameplate is. To this day, Chevelles are sought after by eager enthusiasts, some of whom weren’t even born when the last ones left the GM production lines. The Chevelle also gave rise to the Malibu nameplate, since Malibu was initially a trim level of the Chevelle. That’s what we’ve got for sale here today, a second-generation 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu with 60,000 miles on the clock. It’s a lovely coupe in great order, and it’s reportedly been serviced recently.
Chevy’s Chevelle is one of the most popular mid-sized cars from the Bowtie. Created in 1963, the Chevelle is most popularly known for its coupe utility or ute body style. However, the Chevelle was also available in coupe, sedan, hardtop, and convertible models. And we’ve got one of those right here, a second-generation 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS coupe with a healthy 35,000 miles on its wheels. It’s the perfect weekend muscle car for those who seek a sojourn from the digital world now and then.
The original muscle car era changed the automotive arena for the better. If there were five cars that could showcase what made muscle cars automotive icons you can rest assured that the legendary Chevrolet Chevelle would be one of them. Built to turn heads and ensure performance that provided smiles per gallon, it's time you experienced what true muscle car royalty feels like. Present today is this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle.
Chevy’s Camaro was introduced in 1967, along with its sibling, the Pontiac Firebird. This duo from General Motors took aim at Ford’s runaway success in the pony car segment, the Mustang. How could Ford have all the fun? The General had to respond, and they fired back with this one-two salvo. Thanks to their efforts, we’ve seen many Mustang vs Camaro battles, and eager enthusiasts on both sides. Heck, you’ll even find collectors with both models in their custody, and they’re hard-pressed to pick a favorite. However, 2024 was a sad year for the Camaro, as Chevy stopped making it. They haven’t said anything about a successor, yet. But you can wipe away those tears and put a smile on your face by purchasing this reported 900-horsepower 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 from us. The car’s got a new engine with just 2,500 miles on it, and a slew of upgrades. The current owner also reports the presence of documentation and receipts to back up the work done to make it what it is today.
Say hello to the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS. You may be familiar with the name; after all, it’s one of the most iconic cars out there. It was a proper performance car that took the Camaro name to new heights. One of the downsides of this kind of fame is that imitators are aplenty — not all Camaros bore the SS moniker when they left the showroom. However, our featured car is reported to be a true SS. Moreover, it’s undergone a complete restoration to bring it to its current condition.
Would you like to own a vehicle that’s a sports car and a pickup truck rolled into one surprisingly stylish package? Well, that’s what the Chevy El Camino has been offering for several years, until it bowed out in 1987. This interesting body style provided the ride quality and handling of a car, paired with some load-lugging capabilities more atypical of pickup trucks. Called the Coupe Utility segment, this would go on to become immensely popular in countries such as Australia and South Africa. So if you’re a Coupe Utility fan, check out this 1987 Chevrolet El Camino SS with just 5,000 original miles that we’re selling right now. The current owner reports that it’s had a recent oil change, and comes with a maintenance manual, plus an original car cover to keep it safe should you need to park it outdoors.
