Did you know that the Porsche 928 is reportedly Porsche's first fully in-house design for a production vehicle? Interestingly, this model was first developed as a potential replacement for the Porsche 911 as the company's flagship model. The 928 was different from the 911 as it blended the performance and handling characteristics of a sports car while also offering the comfort, spaciousness, and ride quality of a luxury car. It was even described as a “Super Car” during the 1980s and this model saw 18 years of production starting from 1977. What found its way to our inventory here is a fine example of the 1988 Porsche 928 S4 with 136,004 miles on its clock. We are told that the recent receipts of this car show $27K+ suggesting that it has received a considerable amount of love.
The timeless look of this 1988 Porsche 928 S4 is further enhanced with a stunning Guards Red exterior. Its headlights neatly fold backward, giving a streamlined profile without being completely encased like normal pop-up headlights. This Porsche rides on 16" alloy wheels decorated with chrome Porsche hub caps. Wrapped around them are new Riken Raptor ZR A/S tires. Stopping power is taken care of by front and rear ventilated disc brakes and you also get a new ABS system as well. Our subject Porsche 928 features a rear "Weissach" multi-link suspension, which is a complex suspension system derived from motorsports. The front consists of a double wishbone suspension. Entering this 1988 Porsche 928 is like stepping into a time capsule as the Linen Grey color interior exudes design elements from yesteryear. The retro steering wheel features power-assisted rack & pinion steering. The center console slopes downwards and holds buttons, knobs, and sliding levers for your radio and A/C controls. It also includes a Continental retro Bluetooth stereo.
The current owner reports that over the past 24 months, the following have been replaced: transmission mounts, engine mounts, gas tank sending unit, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, water pump, thermostat, camshaft gears, crankshaft gear, oil pump gears, vibration damper, oil pan gasket, intake manifold, knock sensors, brake calipers, rotors, ABS brake unit, valve covers, all drive belts, fuel lines, air tubes, air filters, spark plugs and wires, and distributor cap and rotor. The transaxle was completely rebuilt just prior to the current owners acquisition at the cost of $7k. Powered by a 5.0-liter DOHC V8 paired with a four-speed rear mounted automatic transaxle, the car is equipped with 16″ forged aluminum chromed wheels with new tires, a sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, a Retrosound bluetooth stereo, and front and rear air conditioning. This 928 S4 shows 136,004 miles and is offered with a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, extensive service records, owners manual, complete tool set, spare tire and a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. All accessories, electronics and gauges function as designed and the car drives and shifts like it did fresh from the factory. Furthermore, all panels have the correct original matching VIN sticker. Sale of this car comes with a car cover, manual seat and sunroof tool, Porsche OEM driver's side door seal, 3 keys and a clean FL title.

Porsche’s 911 may be the German automaker’s signature product, but it was far from their sole one. Over the years, Porsche dabbled (and continues to dabble) in other models too. The 928 was one of these. Produced between 1977 and 1995, it was a front-engined V8 grand tourer. The 928 received the European Car Of The Year award in 1978, and was highly praised by the automotive press at the time. That’s why you shouldn’t miss out on getting your hands on this 1986 Porsche 928 S, with just 76,500 miles under its belt. It’s an excellent modern classic to own and drive.
The 80s was a time for innovation and breaking away from age-old tech into a digital world, and cars like the Porsche 928 were a symbol of this well-needed change. Built to stun, the Porsche 928 was always overshadowed by its legendary cousin, the Porsche 911; fast forward to today, however, and the legendary Porsche 928 gets its well-deserved praise and is becoming a collectors must-have. Present today is this lovely 1986 Porsche 928S Coupe. It's a rare beast as it is a factory-clean example that just has a reported 103,250 miles on the clock. Looking for a machine to take on the weekend and serve as a savvy investment? Look no further!
It seems that most car makers have decided they want to stray away from making fun, exciting cars and push these dreadful-looking electric SUV blobs instead. The upside to that is we get to appreciate good, enticing cars more. This 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 with just 18,234 miles under its belt is a prime example of how much cars are changing. The 911 has been around for over 60 years, but it won’t be long until Porsche produces a swansong before they switch to pure electrification or even worse.
Do you want a 911? Of course you do, or else you wouldn’t be browsing Exotic Car Trader. Anyone who’s looking at a car site that deals in exotic, uncommon and interesting cars is most likely a petrolhead. And majority of petrolheads have a desire – open, or secret – to own a 911 at some point in their lives. That’s because few sports cars have been as impactful as Porsche’s Greatest Hit. Introduced in 1964 with an air-cooled engine mounted in a spicy rear-engined configuration, the 911 is truly a treat to drive, and a challenge too. Later models became tamer, and switched to water cooling. Here’ we’ve got one of those cars from the first era of water cooling, a 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet from Florida with a bit over 57,000 miles to its name. With a manual transmission, it’s a great driving experience, and with its drop-top, makes for a fine cruiser too. So why not pick it up from us?
Owning a Porsche 911 is a dream for many, especially one of the classic air-cooled variants. Introduced in September 1964, few sports cars have had such an impact as the Porsche 911. Its iconic teardrop shape and rear-mounted engine continue even in 2025. Initially sporting a naturally aspirated engine, Porsche started slapping on a turbo at the factory in 1975. The 930 generation was the first to have forced induction, and these are fearsome cars that really test the mettle of a driver. So, if you’re up for a challenge, we’ve got a 16,025-mile 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo for sale with Porsche-certified authenticity, a host of new parts, and all documentation from a Porsche mechanic as reported by the current owner. Living in Fairfield, California, this car is not one for the meek or weak. Treat it right, and it will give you unmatched driving pleasure.
One of the smartest classic cars to own and drive on a regular basis has got to be a Mercedes-Benz SL from the R107 generation of 1971 to 1989. These cars were Hollywood darlings when they were new, and over 300,000 were sold worldwide. It’s estimated that 68% of these ended up in the United States, as official or gray market imports. That’s why getting your hands on one isn’t that hard. This Florida-based 1975 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is one great example. The car has got 86,100 miles under its belt, and has received some new components to keep it driving as sweetly as it did back when it was new.
Named after the opulent California neighborhood of Bel Air, Chevy’s Bel Air was definitely aimed at those who want to feel posh. Introduced as a full-size car in 1949, the Bel Air was made until 1975 in the United States, running up to 1981 in Canada. First generation Bel Airs, such as this 74,475-mile 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door Sedan are always ideal for those wishing to dabble in owning classics. This particular car is up for sale in Westminster, California, and has got some new parts to bring it back up to near-factory condition. Why not check it out, after all it’s a classic that will be relatively easy to maintain given that the Bel Air was quite popular in its heyday.
The youth of the day were drawn to the iconic Ford Mustang style, and when they grew up to become adults of means, they were able to invest in their dream vehicle. The reason we say invest is that today, a classic Mustang is worth so much more than what it was back in the day. It should be noted that the iconic Mustang design has also stood the test of time. For fans of the pony car series and all things Mustang, this stunning 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe is a perfect choice. With the original owner’s manual and documents included, this car comes to you with a few upgrades. Its current owner states that the recipes for the completed work are available. Take a chance on this eye-catcher and get praise on your next Sunday run.
