Since the first M5 of the ’80s, BMW has been known for making some of the best super sedans in the world. Seemingly with each generation, they get better. The E60 M5 was no different. With a V10 engine that sounded like their F1 power-plant, the E60 M5 was an instant hit. But despite having 400bhp, the legendary tuning minds at Dinan didn’t think it was enough. Which is why they went about releasing specialist engine components to up the ante. The car you see here has received the Dinan treatment: a headlining Dinan 5.8 Stroker kit. We’re assured that preventative maintenance has been carried out, and the car will be supplied with recent service history.
The exterior of this gray 2006 BMW M5 is largely stock, save for discrete Dinan badges on the rear. It features the M5 body kit and multi-spoke 19” alloy wheels but looks outwardly stock—a true advantage for those who prefer the understated sleeper look. The interior of the M5 looks to be in remarkable shape. This car comes with extended leather in black. It also features heated rear seats to ensure passengers stay warm during the winter months. This particular BMW M5 E60 features a head-up display, as well as a glass moonroof. It also has “Comfort Access”, which is BMW-speak for keyless entry—a rare convenience on a car this age.
This car underwent a Dinan conversion with 43,640 miles on the body. Included is the Dinan Stroker Kit, which increases the engine capacity from 5 liters to a whopping 5.8 liters. The conversion kit reportedly cost $30,000 new, and Dinan claimed a bump in power to 611 Whp and 468 lb-ft of torque. The motor comes with a certificate of authenticity from Dinan and includes a Dinan forged crankshaft, Dinan lightweight forged pistons, Dinan lightweight connecting rods and a Dinan serial-numbered block. It also comes with Dinan electronics and engine management software to keep everything in check, as well as a carbon cold-air intake from a BMW M6.
In the world of cars, each country is known for producing something noticeably better than others. The Japanese are known for their top-notch built quality and reliability. The Americans are known for their big V8s and comfortable cruisers. The Germans, of course, are known to be… A bit nuts. This 2020 BMW M5 Competition, with just 44,000 miles on the clock, perfectly depicts how crazy they are. BMW has been producing the M5 for decades and each time they bring out a new one, it just seems to get a little bit better.
It is a fact that any car from BMW's M lineup is going to be impressive. If you’re lucky enough to be in the market for one, then it’s guaranteed that power and performance are going to be exceptional. The BMW M5 was introduced in 1985 and is currently in its seventh generation. Flaunting a design based on the regular 5-Series, the M5 is a no-holds-barred extreme sports sedan. This staggering example of the 2023 BMW M5 belongs to the sixth generation, also known as the F90. With just over 11,000 miles on the clock, this super saloon is up for grabs in Florida.
The BMW M Series has been around for quite a while; the M1 was an automotive icon from the get-go and set the tone for what the folks at BMW had in store. Over the years, the M series offering has grown, and legendary marques like the BMW M5 continue to shock and awe with the perfect blend of performance that puts sports cars to shame, comfort that rivals luxury cars, and practicality that is family-friendly. Present today is this 2021 BMW M5 Competition, with a reported 10,500 miles on the clock, this autobahn stormer serves as a practical daily and a track weapon on the weekends.
Heralding BMW’s entry into electric and hybrid mobility, the German automaker’s i-series kicked off with the i8. What a way to start; here was a low-slung two-seat sports car that looked straight out of a sci-fi movie. The i8 featured groundbreaking styling by Benoit Jacob, and a surprising choice of engine – mid-mounted of course. Naturally, there are quite a few fans of the i8, and we’ve got a pleasant 9,000-mile 2014 BMW i8 for one lucky person to grab. So, if you’ve been lusting after an i8, drop whatever you’re doing right now and call us pronto.
BMW has a knack for designing stunning roadsters in the past. The timeless 507 is one of the best examples. But in the early 2000s, a new icon was born: the BMW Z3. Our featured car goes one step further, being born into the M series—a line of cars that stands for the ultimate in BMW’s performance. In addition to having good looks, the 2000 BMW Z3 M Roadster borrowed the potent S52 powerplant and much-lauded suspension from the E36 M3. These changes made the Z3 M a force to be reckoned with on track and on the road. With about 68,000 miles on the clock, this red-on-red example sees a few choice modifications to further enhance the recipe of one of BMW’s most capable M roadsters.
