One of their bright ideas was to create a light, utilitarian and capable off-roader that could be used for agricultural, as well as other purposes. They were inspired by what Willys was doing with the Jeep across the pond. In fact the very first Land Rover Series prototype used a Jeep chassis and a Rover engine. The production version, of course, was Land Rover’s own design, and was called the Series I. As time passed by, it became the Series II, Series III, and gained the Defender name by 1990. Although the vehicle underwent hundreds of changes during its several decades of production, its basic shape and purpose remained true to the original. That’s why you can easily see similarities between a 1948 Series I and this 66,000-mile 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 that’s up for sale today. Wearing a lovely shade of blue, this four-door 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 sports a repainted roof, a new windshield, new headlamps, a new Front Runner roof rack, and that iconic checkerboard plating on the hood. It rolls on a set of white wheels shod with the requisite off-road friendly tires, making this an ideal overlander. You can carry all your camping gear, and venture wherever your mood takes you. The interior of this 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 features leather-upholstered seating for six adults on Exmoor click and fold seats. The second row seats are Exmoor high-back units. There are custom floor panels, a new headliner, and a Fusion stereo plus speakers, which are not installed yet. You’ll also note the presence of an air conditioning unit, making this vehicle ready for the ever-warmer summers that we seem to face, courtesy of global warming.
This 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 comes with a 300Tdi powertrain. Hence, it’s got a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine with 111hp and 195lb-ft.
