The 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was a popular German convertible automobile in the United States. It was the third generation successor of the legendary 300 SL Gullwing, introduced with a new design language and safety features that transformed the SL line-up into a totally different machine. While the SL went more luxurious, there was also a bigger engine: for the first time V8 powerplants were fitted to the SL-Class. This generation of Mercedes-Benz 560SL remains as one of the longest produced vehicles from the German Automaker. We're told that this particular example comes with the original engine, transmission, and even the original leather interior. This classic German has only clocked a mere 21,842 miles on the odometer. It is also equipped with power disc brakes to bring you to a swift stop. Kept in stellar condition, this red beauty has undergone recent servicing and is for sale in Kingwood, Texas.
Inside you have the original tan leather, still looking mint after 36 years. There are wood panels for the center console and dash adding style contrasting against the black carpets, top dash and steering wheel. You’ve also got a working AC, a radio, and power steering to make your life much more convenient to drive this big classic Mercedes around.
Under the hood of this 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is the original, naturally aspirated, Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel-injected M117 V8 engine. Mated to the original four-speed automatic transmission with 21,842 original miles. Back when new, the 560SL was reported to output approximately 227 horsepower and around 287 ft-lb's of torque from the factory. It came equipped with an independent MacPherson strut with an anti-roll bar for the front suspension and an independent multi-link set up with anti-roll bar at the back.

The versatile Mercedes-Benz Sprinter lends itself well towards customization into a variety of specialty vehicles. This light commercial van from Mercedes-Benz comes with the German automaker’s build quality and refinement, as well as some luxury features too, if desired. However, it can be customized by Mercedes-Benz as well as aftermarket customizers to a near-infinite degree. We’ve seen Sprinters turned into luxury passenger transporters, special-purpose vehicles, and capable overlanders. This 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 is from the last category, and we’re told that it’s the perfect vehicle for hunting. While the R107 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is widely known as being a favorite ’70s and ’80s Grand Tourer, the one that followed significantly raised the bar. Known as the R129, it was made between 1988 and 2001. Over 210,000 examples were built, and you could have a monstrous 6.0-liter V12 under the hood if you desired. This 1996 Mercedes-Benz SL600 is one of those top dogs and comes to you with less than 57,000 miles on the clock. The current owner also says that documentation and even the car’s window sticker are provided.
The second-generation Chevy Corvette is renowned for many things. Debuting in 1963 with a neat split rear window, this design feature was axed for 1964 because it impeded rearward visibility. The second-gen ‘Vette also introduced features such as boat-tailed styling, pop-up headlamps, and the Stingray badge. That’s why cars such as this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette L84 Fuelie are highly sought after by collectors. This car is said to be an all numbers matching example with 35,375 miles on the clock, thus making it a great classic car to buy and keep for many years. Of course, you shouldn’t mothball it either; take it for a spin every now and then and experience the greatness of America’s most popular sports car.
1984 may have been the title of a rather draconian book, but it also marked the entry of Chevy’s fourth-generation or C4 Corvette. After a fourteen year run, the C3 was retired, and the C4 entered the scene. It was considered positively groundbreaking, with new styling, a fresh interior with slick digital-style LED instrument displays, and the switch to a uniframe design, from the previous body-on-frame language that older Corvettes used. Today, you can enjoy all that and more with this 62,002-mile 1984 Chevrolet Corvette that’s up for sale right now. The car comes from Pennsylvania, and includes the original owner’s manual with the sale.
The second generation or C2 Chevy Corvette is responsible for many Corvette features, including the pop-up headlamps, the Stingray tag, and for cementing the Corvette’s powertrain as always being a V8. Yes, the first generation did offer in-line six power, but some may say that wasn’t in spirit of a car that was meant to represent America’s finest automotive efforts. So, getting yourself a C2 is a smart decision because you’ll be owning a great car that’s fun to drive, and will appreciate in value as long as you look after it. If that sounds like your thing, check out this reportedly numbers-matching 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible that’s up for sale with a mere 54,562 miles on the odometer. The car currently resides in Mesa, Arizona, and includes its original blue interior.
