Bel Air is a name that has a lot of ties with sophistication and luxury, and the same can be said of this iconic Chevrolet Bel Air, a car that is highly sought after. This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air may well fall under that category, which in fact comes with a reported full restoration and redesign for those who want to keep things timeless, but fresh. As such, this particular Bel Air is a desirable vehicle for those who want to ride with power, but also in style, and keep classic designs alive for the future. With nearly 2,000 miles reported on this vehicle post-restoration, and the fact that the current seller reportedly purchased it from the original owner, this car would be a waste not to take home.
This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air comes with that classic ‘50s automotive design elements we all love, such as the wide body and gaping grille, the smooths lines that curves that add a bit of glamour to what otherwise would have been a boring, boxy design. You’ll also appreciate the simple rear end, with tail-fin light rear lamps to maintain that classic look. You’ll notice a bit of old with a touch of new throughout this vehicle. Its platinum silver exterior goes well with the reportedly redone chrome parts. You’ll notice LED lights in the headlights, grills and mirrors, the black interior is in pristine condition and comes with a retro digital dash, a tilt wheel and fighter switches, instruments and dials, which are Dakota Digital gauges recessed within the stock openings for greater immersion.
This extends to the upgrades on the engine and drivetrain as well. The Deland built 632ci V8 reportedly makes 845hp and adds another 300hp more with a shot of nitrous, using an NX nitrous express system. To obtain this level of performance, a number of upgrades have been made to the engine and drivetrain, including KOOKS custom stainless steel headers, new exhaust pipes, a PRC custom made polished aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a TCI custom built 400 racing trans with a heavy duty torque converter, TCI custom shifter and more. You’ll also notice the Atsco rack and pinion power steering, ADDCO front sway bar, adjustable shocks on front and rear using QA1 Coil-overs, disc brakes on all four wheels, a custom frame and undercarriage that reportedly shows only slight road use from dry weather tours as well as plenty more upgrades.
