Without the Hennessey Treatment, the GMC Sierra’s 6.2-liter V8 makes 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, which, when mated to a 10-speed auto transmission, pushes the truck from 0-60 mph in roughly 5.4 seconds. The Goliath 650 upgrade kit enhances its powertrain with a 3.0-liter supercharger, high-flow intake system, high-flow intercooler, a crankcase ventilation system, chromoly pushrods, and a stainless-steel cat-back exhaust system to tweak it to make 650 hp and 658 lb-ft of torque. This super boost accelerates the Goliath 650 GMC Sierra from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds, 1.1 seconds faster than the standard Sierra, but its top speed remains at 112 mph.
Unless you request upgrades to the interior, Hennessey Performance doesn’t modify GMC Sierra’s cabin layout and design with the Goliath 650 upgrade kit. GM offers this pickup truck in various trim levels, including the Denali, SLE, Pro, AT4, and AT4X. All trim levels have relatively similar interior designs, with subtle differences influencing comfort and price. But overall, the Goliath 650 GMC Sierra will maintain the interior design of the Sierra on which it’s based. While GM builds these trucks for rugged terrains, they still equip them with comfortable seats for passengers, whether it's the regular, double, or crew cab configuration.
Hennessey knows that the GMC Sierra 1500 lineup of pickup trucks is among the most rugged and aggressive full-size trucks. Therefore, they don’t have to modify anything to prove a point unless you want them to. Still, the Goliath 650 GMC Sierra rolls off the production line with subtle markers that Hennessey modifies. GM does a great job of equipping the GMC Sierra with the latest, most relevant technology features, which means Hennessey does not have to upgrade these. It could be argued that the Goliath 650 is a tech upgrade, but when talking about tech, in this case, we’re referring to the infotainment system and driver assist features. The Goliath 650 upgrade kit is meant for Sierra from 2022 and later. Most GMC Sierra 1500, including the AT4 and AT4X from that model year, have infotainment features such as CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth, and navigation. Other features include an in-vehicle trailering App, GMC Pro Safety, and tons of sensors and cameras.
