The Porsche 911 Turbo S is the Porsche you can buy if you want a daily drivable car that isn't too track-focused. Sure, the GT3 is tempting since it's essentially a stripped-down GT3 RS, but it lacks a few qualities that you'll find on the Turbo S, from small things such as comfort to the majors such as a twin-turbocharged flat-six. We're sure Porsche have their reasons for not using turbos on the GT3 and GT3 RS, but anyone would agree that they make everything better. Well, except for the exhaust. It could be the reason why Brabus chose the Turbo S over other higher trim-level Porsches. But as you'll soon find out, the Brabus 900 Rocket 911 Turbo S is unlike any other 911 Turbo S they tune.
Brabus names their cars according to how much power they have and their 900 Rocket Turbo S is no exception. It's powered by the same 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six as the standard Turbo S, but thanks to upgraded turbochargers and a few other tweaks, it makes 900 horsepower and roughly 740 lb.ft. That power is sent to all four wheels via the standard 8-speed dual-clutch automatic but revised to handle the extra power. As a result, the car sprints from 0-60 mph in an impressive 2.5 seconds and is capable of reaching 211 mph flat out. That's 0.1 seconds quicker and 6 mph more than the standard Turbo S. It's Not as impressive as you'd expect, but we've seen Porches beat the manufacturer-claimed times and top speed, so it must be the same with Brabus 900 Rocket Turbo S.
Inside, the Brabus 900 Rocket Turbo S is heavily distant from the standard Turbo S. The overall layout is as breathtaking as the car's exterior and performance with every element thoughtfully redesigned to contrast with the car's visual appeal. The seats are wrapped in supremely soft leather with one of Brabus's signature quilting pattern, the Ellipse quilting pattern, that extends across the door panels and a few parts of the dashboard. The headliner is made of black Alcantara, creating a cohesive blacked-out aesthetic. Showcasing the car's high-performance nature are exposed high gloss carbon fiber accents highlighting the center console and door sill trims. However, since the car is not a Superblack edition, buyers could infinitely customize the cabin to individual preferences.
The exterior of the Brabus 900 Rocket 911 Turbo S is a combination of the best Porsche design cues complemented by bespoke Brabus elements. It looks good, but not everything about it is about aesthetic appeal. An exposed active carbon front splitter design enhances the car's aerodynamics, altering downforce depending on the car's speed. Plus, the carbon fiber surrounds on the vents channel air more efficiently to the radiator and brakes. Opinions on the overall "Widestar" front bumper design may vary, but almost everyone would agree it fits the car's aesthetic, flowing seamlessly into the wider carbon fiber fender flares. The rear of the car is equally impressive, with a "Widestar" fascia featuring a more aerodynamic fixed carbon fiber spoiler and diffuser that showcases the quad tailpipes of the high-performance exhaust.
Before telling you what you get inside the Brabus 900 Rocket 911 Turbo S on matters tech, let's stay on its exterior design for a bit. The wheel arches are lined with Kevlar, which you won't get on Porsche's expansive options list. Each lining has air vents, which further enhance cooling and aerodynamics. The wheels have carbon fiber aero-discs that optimize cooling. Brabus included a suspension upgrade featuring custom Brabus coilover springs and fully adjustable shock absorbers to improve handling. Inside, you get heated and powered multi-adjustable front seats. Brabus retained the 10.9 infotainment display with Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, onboard navigation, Android Auto, and more.
The Brabus 900 Rocket 911 Turbo S is one of the rarest cars you can get from Brabus, as only 25 will ever be made, each with a price tag of nearly $800,000. Due to rarity, we might not have one for sale among our Porsche listings, but we have several 911s for sale that will certainly impress you.
The Brabus 900 Rocket Porsche 911 Turbo S is a remarkable blend of Porsche's engineering excellence and Brabus's dedication to pushing the limits of performance, luxury, and design. From its breathtaking power to its bespoke interior and aerodynamically enhanced exterior, it redefines what a 911 Turbo S can be.
