The Mercedes E-Class has long been a customer favorite and is celebrated as the flagship mid-tier sedan in the lineup. Over the generations, each model year has consistently included an AMG variant, delivering an irresistible boost in performance and driving excitement. Adding to this legacy, Brabus, thanks to their relationship with Mercedes, has made several high-performance Brabus E 63s, each unique as both brands continue to push boundaries year after year. But what's sad is seeing the phase-out of Mercedes V8 engines, which means it won't be long before we no longer see new cars launched with V8s. But we trust Brabus will keep pushing their limits while they're available. That said, how much power does the Brabus 900 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S have? Spoiler: It's in the name.
Mercedes-AMG 63 models no longer have 6.3-liter engines, but Mercedes has retained the name as a tribute to the Mercedes-Benz 600, also known as the Grosser. That's a detail you will remember, and if you weren't aware of it, you are now. Underneath the Brabus 900 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S's hood sits a Brabus Rocket 900 4.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8, making 900 horsepower and 921 lb.ft. Now, that's not the same engine as in the standard E 63 S. Brabus reworked the 4.0-liter V8, giving it more displacement and bespoke Brabus Turbochargers, among other tweaks. 0-60 mph takes a neck-snapping 2.8 seconds, and should you keep your foot planted, the speedo maxes out at 205 mph. That's right in the supercar category. Now we get why Brabus calls it a Supersports Limousine.
As hinted earlier, the Brabus 900 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S promises way more than just more power. Inside, it gets Brabus leather seats that feel more luxurious than the standard AMG seats and Brabus carpets that feel too plush to be stepped on. Brabus didn't stop there. The cabin has more carbon fiber, which stretches across the entire dash, extending to the steering wheel, center console, and door trims. These are complemented by aluminum-themed accents and gloss black finishes, enhancing the luxurious feel. The biggest perk is that there's enough seating space for five and enough trunk space should each passenger decide to carry a bag or tow for a road trip. Brabus left most of the tech and amenities untouched, but we'll touch on those later.
Brabus kept the exterior upgrades on the Brabus 900 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S subtle, preserving the muscular sedan aesthetic we all love. The only additions were some carbon bits to the grille and vent surrounds on the front bumper designed to enhance airflow to the radiators and brakes. You can't miss the massive Brabus badge on the grille and a smaller one at the top of the front bumper. Additional Brabus emblems on the front fenders and rear give the impression that Brabus aimed to rebrand the car, nearly erasing its Mercedes identity entirely. Another minor yet noticeable upgrade is the addition of a rain light integrated into the rear diffuser. Finishing off the look is a set of Signature Black Brabus 21-inch Monoblock Z Platinum edition forged wheels that look absolutely fantastic.
We mentioned that Brabus left most of the tech and amenities untouched inside the cabin, meaning you get the best of what Mercedes has to offer. Dominating the dash are two cojoined 12.3-inch displays running on Mercedes's MBUX system. The instrument infotainment cluster is highly customizable and changes according to the driving modes. The infotainment display includes essentials like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more. Plus, in addition to being a touchscreen, it can be controlled through the center console-mounted knob that has a touch functionality as well. Other suites are well catered to, including driver assists and safety features. But we won't get into that. Let's move on to pricing.
A new Mercedes-AMG E63 S will cost around $115,000, but if you're buying the Brabus 900 version, expect to spend at least $340,000. It's a small price for the exclusivity, but perhaps it's too much to pay for an E63. We'll leave that to you to decide as you browse through our Mercedes listings, which have several AMG E63s for sale.
Simply put, the Brabus 900 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S is a super sedan. It takes everything great about the already impressive AMG E63 and pushes it to possibly the maximum. It's fast, luxurious, practical, and stealthy; what else could you want from a performance luxury sedan?
